Dog friendly beaches
Now Italy offers dog friendly beaches nearly in every region. The “pioneer” was the “Bau Beach” near Rome, followed by other regions which would like to limit the phenomenon of animals abandoning. Dogs and owners have to observe some rules; an example is that before leaving, they have to register their dog to the local health authority, at the veterinary section; if the dog gets lost, it will be easier to find him. You should also bring a small shovel and plastic bags if your dog has made a mess. It’s good to remember that you shouldn’t go to the beach with your dog during the warmest hours. Dog friendly beaches are limited by fences and water buoys not to disturb other bathers which aren’t at the beach with their pets.
